Lily of the valley is known as a mute flower, meaning it does not naturally produce an essential oil suitable for fragrance extraction. This combination gives Majantol a clean, airy and modern floral profile, highly appreciated in contemporary perfumery. ## Uses in fragrances Majantol is mainly used in **floral**, **hesperidic**, **fougère**, **chypre** and **woody** fragrances. - **Floral fragrances**: Majantol adds an aquatic and fresh green floral nuance to the bouquet. It can be used in soliflore compositions, especially for lily of the valley interpretations, or combined with other raw materials to build complex floral accords. - **Hesperidic fragrances**: In citrus-based compositions, Majantol complements the brightness of zesty notes by adding a soft floral lift that enhances freshness and elegance. - **Fougère fragrances**: Majantol introduces a light floral facet that smooths and rounds the aromatic sharpness of lavender. In classic fougère structures based on bergamot, geranium, lavender, coumarin and oakmoss, Majantol helps create a more refined and romantic balance. - **Chypre fragrances**: In chypre accords built around bergamot, a floral heart, oakmoss, patchouli and labdanum, Majantol is particularly effective in uplifting the composition and adding radiance. ## Iconic applications Majantol is famously present in *Diorissimo* by Dior.
